October 2020 Newsletter
Dear Fellow Auto Enthusiast,
Welcome to the October newsletter of Blue Collar Muscle Rods & Custom.  Last month I shared with you progress on the drywall, insulation, electric service, and septic system.  October was a good month with significant progress.  The following words and photos will detail much of what has been completed.  This month progress was on the drywall, painting walls and ceilings, water well, parts storage area, and concrete.  The HVAC contractor fired up a couple of the furnaces to add heat so the drywall joint compound would set up.  Join us on our Facebook page as the construction phase comes to a close and we start working on cars and trucks in the coming months.
The first area of progress I want to share with you is the construction crew painted the walls and ceiling in the assembly side of the shop.  Home Depot delivered several pallets of 5 gallon buckets of primer and paint.  The first 3 photos show the assembly area, the next photo shows a vehicle storage area and the last photo is looking at the shop’s break area and customer entrance area.  With the walls painted, the final electrical installation (lights, switches, outlets), overhead door installation, bathroom build out, and break area cabinet and countertop installation can all move forward.
Not exciting but necessary nonetheless, the well was drilled and ready for final plumbing and electrical hookups.
The construction crew finished the tile in the parts storage area.  Next for this area are lights and shelves.
The concrete contractor finished up the exterior concrete on the approaches to the overhead doors.
Check out our latest video.  This tour of the shop will give you a good idea of the layout and the overall design of the building.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PEG_BsZ-Lu4
