Dear Fellow Auto Enthusiast,
Welcome to the July newsletter of Blue Collar Muscle Rods & Custom. It’s been several months since my last newsletter and that’s an indication of how busy we are. The shop is full and since the last newsletter we have finished the work on 13 cars and sent them home to their owners. I will discuss the current cars we have in house and also show you what we have finished. I hired another technician and these guys keep me busy ordering parts so they can keep the vehicles moving forward. Every car needs something different and it’s fun to solve their specific problems. Let’s take a look at what we have been working on.
Here’s the 76 Olds Cutlass. I am including the photo of the car as we started with it. We prefer straight lines when replacing the quarter panels so we purchased another set of quarter panels and we have fit and welded them to the car. Instead of sectioning the quarter panel along the side of the car, where the body work would be over a larger area, we sectioned it along the top where the working area is significantly smaller and reducing the amount of body work required. Now we are working on finessing the body work in preparation for the first coat of primer.
